Festiva as truck
Why would anybody need a truck?
I regularly haul the following with my Anchorage Festiva: 4x8 sheets of 3/4" plywood and drywall (on top), 12-foot 2x4s thru 2x12s (inside with one end where the passenger's feet go and the other out the open hatch).
I've also hauled the following: full-size picnic table (on top), 2' by 10' long wing flaps from a large twin-engine WWII airplane (from Boise to Seattle), about 800 pounds of airplane parts from Las Vegas to Seattle.
Last summer, I hauled a 2"x4"x20-foot steel beam across Anchorage, which left somewhat of a "lasting impression" in my roof. Turns had to be made very gently, because the inertia of the beam made it want to stay straight while the car rotated underneath it.
