Okay so I did my taxes last night, wasn't able to get enough back to buy this mx-3 that Mazda Power had, but I should have enough to get some axles and a clutch for my BP-swap and distributor that I need, along with some other essentials for a unique festiva. I can't wait till late march or april when its warm enough to do this swap. Yipee, I just hope the engine is going to be alright its been sitting awhile, and I will have to do some prep on it.

For the clutch, im just sticking with a oem one for now, not a race one because the tranny has some miles on it, and I will be getting a newer one later on in late summer, so do you think a remanufactured napa clutch kit will be okay?

I need at least one of my axles replaced the boot is torn and the CV went bad on it, should I replace both at the same time, or not worry since I will be eventually changing the tranny too.

I don't know how everyone else got so lucky. I work as a security guard only making $10.25/hr and I'm having to pay both kansas and missouri and only getting $50 back on the federal. On top of that I'm a student. I did my own taxes this year but the last year was the same. It seems we're taxed to death on everything and I'm starting to wonder if my fiancee's suggestion to move to Laos' might not be a bad thing. I guess the ousted moochin New Orleans people can enjoy the money since i'm not.

We can thank our friends from south of the border for this...

Seriously, I'm going to move to Norway or some place where money goes to the public good and those who deserve it, not the freeloaders we support in America.

If it was up to me, I wouldn't pay taxes!

Ok, I'm done with my rant...

I'd hate to be the next person that asks me for money - I have a passoinate hate for free-loaders. I haven't got into a fight for while and that just might be the right cause. I think I paid over two grand with all of the taxes.. i may just take off the scholarship since technically is was a gift...

Don't move to Norway if you don't want to pay taxes - close to $.70 on every dollar you earn is paid to the govt. there. Although it seems like its getting that bad here, too, sometimes.

You younguns just wait until you have property taxes, excise taxes, and all these other lovely hands into your pockets, too :pottytrain2:

guess I shouldnt brag about getting 1300 back, and my fiance got 1500.

We are both students, and only made about 13k each.

Whoa, Packrat's making some serious cashola. Good for you! I'll be getting about $3,000 back from federal and $500 state.

I guess I'm having too much taken out, and I know all the financial gurus tell you not to do this because you are essentially giving the government an interest free loan on your money. Oh well, we like getting that "bonus" every year that we use for larger ticket items.
