Whoa, Packrat's making some serious cashola. Good for you! I'll be getting about $3,000 back from federal and $500 state.

I'll be getting back... $50.

Then again, I only made about $3000 in the last year.

I guess I'm having too much taken out, and I know all the financial gurus tell you not to do this because you are essentially giving the government an interest free loan on your money. Oh well, we like getting that "bonus" every year that we use for larger ticket items.

I used to look at it as money in the bank ,like you said a bonus, I think those days are gone , the state and Feds want you to break even or OWE THEM.

I paid 3334 in federal and I paid a little over 1000 in state and I'm getting back about 900 total. Not even a quarter of what I paid.

3 kids and a home helps a lot...plus I try to pay in as little as possible...Don't want the government using my money all year like a no-interest loan from me. I mess with what I claim a couple of times a year to balance it out. It works but sometimes you can screw yourself if your not having enough taken out. :roll:
