  • Figured up how much I have in the Festiva

I'm stuck in the pit of boredom today so I figured it was time. I didn't figure in the oil about a quart every 1k, couple quarts of transmission fluid, and coolant. Despite what I've had to do and what still needs to be done I'm alot better off than if I kept the Ranger. Okay now don't tell me I'm the only one that has done this. I got one started on the Aspire also but only up to $214 in it so far!

It'd take me too long to list everything that I have in my festiva

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Even with gas priced at $5.00 per gallon I imagine it would be hard to justify all I've done and spent on my rig. However, even with that said, it makes more sense than buying a new car and watching it depreciate each month. Gas is roughly $3.00/gallon here (81 octane, pure gas) so I can throw a $20 at the clerk once my car hits the empty mark and she's back up to the full mark. Now, Flamestiva is ready to provide me with a week's worth of transportation.

I'm the same as many on this site, I bought my car for $300.00. It's was kinda like going to the state fair, only 4 or 5 dollars to get in the gate but a turkey leg costs the same and don't even think about the rides. I'd bet the average fair-goer spends 8-10 times gate admission before it's all said and done. I'm the kind of person that passes on that type of consumer spending but spend my money on what most others feel to be stupid, thousands of dollars on a Festiva.

I guess the pure gas is better than the 15% ethanol + gasoline = 87% octane mix we get here.

I'd venture to say most of us hasn't heard of it before. Is that pure gas hard to start in cold weather?

last i checked with all 4 sets of wheels i have(13's, 14's, 15's, and 16's) at at least 2 sets of tires/set of wheels, 4x motors, 4 x g25mr trans, 6x turbos, 93 festy, 91 festy and 91 capri xr2 parts cars, axles, gaskets, fluids, tial wastegate, innovative wide band, 2.5" exhaust, turbo xs knocklite, 3x clutches, all the different suspensions... im about $6,000 into my car...which is really sad cause i could build 3 more for that price...
