Mom told me to take typing and Spanish in school. She was soooo right but I'm not telling her.

I bought my car Freshtiva new off the dealers lot in 1993 so yeah Ive got quite a bit ( by festiva standards ) in it. Got over $3000 in a couple of the others. I have a break down of costs for Frankenstiva somewhere.

My black and silver one was a complete stock rebuild. If it need it it got it. My goal was a brand new Festiva. Car alone without stereo system with wheels I would guess I had over 7 in it. BUT I TELL YA it was as nice as a new Festiva i'm sure of it. Looked it to. Man I wish I still had that one.

          1997 Ford Aspire

          Purchase Price: $200 Jan 2011 121500

          Exhaust Man. $0
          Dowpipe $0
          Exhaust Clamp $6
          Spark Plugs $8
          Rear wheel bearings/seals $60
          Fuel filter $6
          Spark Plug wires $20
          Speedo cable/ variable multi-switch $26
          Air filter $12
          2 Gallons ATF / Supertech $26

          Total: $364

Updated after the last couple of days. Runs and drives now at least. Still runs a bit rich so need to look at the temp sensor. Still alot of work to do. Alignment on the front end and the drivers rear tire... for some reason it was loose when I got it the passenger rear looks fine. 2 tires for the front I'm still debating on just getting stock steelies don't care for the alloy's. Brake flush and full transmission and ps changeout should be the last of the absolutely needs to be done mechanical's.

                  $400 for mine.
                  Aspire transmission $315
                  Exedy clutch kit $99
                  Axles and seals $125
                  Brake pads and shoes $50
Rear wheel bearings. About $180 (I've done them 3 times. Mine eats them)
                  Short Shifter and knob $28
                  Cheap stereo $90
Protege Alternator $15 (I love Middleboro Auto Salvage)
Assorted parts (belts, tuneup parts, etc) $100

I'm probably forgetting a few little things, let's just call it $1500.

Soon to come. Aspire Brakes and engine swap (probably a B8ME)
