I wouldn't know about Festiva waves, haven't seen one on the road yet.
If it don't fit, use a bigger hammer!

I usually wave, tho on occasion, I have been known to turn around and give chase if I pass a particularly interesting one. Very few wave back.

Chase 'em down! Find out about them and convert more FF.com members!
What else is there to do when you see one? lol
I get mixed reviews with the waves, but most times I get a wave back.
I've been known to catch up to Festiva's I see and pull along side and honk.
But, the other day a Red '90-ish with Alloys and a Spoiler drove by while I was in the (slow) fast food drive thru. There are not a lot of Festy's in St. Louis, especially with a Spoiler! Tom and I are the only ones I've seen with them here, and we both had to buy one and install it.
It got about a 2 minute lead on me, but I knew the area. Drove to where it might go and..bingo! There it was!
I pulled up to it, no one in it. I left a note, introducing myself, that I had a Festy, and belonged to FordFestiva.com, asked them to get in touch with me and left my phone #. So far...no word.

                  Stalk them!

Okay well it's been a long time since I've passed by a Festiva, and even longer since I've done so while driving one. I like the thumbs up, that is, if it's a well treated Festiva. I did have a lady give me a big wave as I waved back.

Yeah, they sound exactly like the Roadrunner! I did notice, the horns on Festys, are just like the horns on a lot of forklifts.

Der Panzerfaust is not yet registered, but when he is I'll likely honk and wave at his kin.
If I see one parked i'll probably leave a note with my username and the forum URL.

I honk, then realize I can barely hear my own horn (Stupid 88 horn sounds terrible and girly)
I have a small air-horn hooked up to the Panzer!

That may be a guy in Roanoke. Faded red? 88-89 L? I went to their house. I invited them here. They were nice. He was a math professor.
