New ALT, New Battery (LARGE battery), and new belt (actual belt was 1" too large). Car goes like stink, chirpin' tires on 2nd gear. On the highway, I'm going 65; I look away for a second then look back, the car is going close to 80. I zip through lanes, downshifting to 3rd and flooring it, from what it looks like I'm still short shifting because on 1st gear, I would be at 5500 RPM and hitting 25mph and the redline on my car is 7000RPM. Right now, I'm running at 60 amps based on my gauges all thanks to my 600 CCA battery and new alternator. I'm loving this car already. I can't wait to start working on this car.

I haven't even done the full tune up yet. I'm about to have that done plus I'm going to see if there has been some internal work done to the engine. I'm sure the B6 didn't redline at 7K off the factory. It feels quicker than 82hp plus I had a CRT TV, and a bunch of stuff weighing the car down.

the nose isn't long enough for a EJ swap. the show engine is more coveted and can be turboed like the KLZ. i always thought the CR-V or Rav4 trans would be good for a mid-AWD swap if you're thinking that route.

doable, BUT you'll need to front half the car and widen the rear quite a bit as well. and then there's the electronics to contend with, and the weight.

if you want AWD, CR-V and Rav4 are the best bets as they are plentyful, then there's the GTX, and in low power configurations, Justy.

Either way, the additional 200lbs for added traction for 300+HP on a 1500lb chassis is better than insane and performance hindering torque steer.

Did the CRVs and RAV4s come in manual? I may be better off going for the AWD off the Mazda 323 GTX but those are very rare.

How about the AWD off a Toyota Celica? The CRV trannies seem to be only 4x4s.

I'm trying to stay within mazda/ford because it may be easier to mate with the engine. Maybe the Mazda Tribute or B2000...maybe even the MPV?
