    sc72, sorry to hear that!
Maybe we can set up some phone calls and do the practice interviews that way.
Better than nothing, but not as good as doing one in person.
Good point about looking the interviewer in the eye.
But most of my interviews have been by committee.
Usually, 6-12 people from engineers to the president of the company, so agreed you have to start out replying directly to the person who asked the question but you also have to "pan" the room while replying so evveryone feel included and end with the person who asked the question.
    Also, ask your own questions!
I've found if you ask intelligent questions concerning the position the interview becomes a conversation, and is easier to deal with.
But, no matter how comfortable the "conversation" becomes remember your being interviewed do not let down your guard.

I have given John lots of invaluable tips on how to handle himself during an interview. For example, that he should not handle himself during an interview.

Though considering how long my last position lasted I might be in the market for another adviser!

Good morning fellas, i must say you guys are a hoot you just never know what to expect in your posts. yes i had 29 good years no tickets or reprimands, the last 2 were just a mess, my department manager was a 28 yr old college grad thats looking to be CEO next year, the poor boy just doesn't realize those positions are full and the upper management are not going to say, hey come on up we will move out of the way for you. John we will need to visit some about using WVO as compaired to WMO as a fuel. Good luck in Wis and the interview.

              Thanks Guy's!

sc72, I'd be very interested in talking about WVO and WMO, especially with fuel prices are heading higher. Let me pm you my number and let me know when we can have a conversation. I know another member here who would be interested as well.
Maybe we can setup a chat session somewhere so we all could participate.

                    Appreciate the support!

JPT, oddly enough they're expecting snow the day I travel to WI, but clear the day of the interview and return flight!

                      Interview up date

Flights to Milwaukee and Chicago were canceled due to weather last Sunday.
So interview rescheduled and I now fly out of PIT and into Milwaukee, WI This Sunday (2/27).
In the mean time had an interview with a company in York, PA.
Went in at 8:50AM and left the building at 5:45PM, longest interview I've ever had. Spent 6 hours with the VP of Production and an hour with the president. So will see what shakes out in the next few weeks.

Enjoyed a few evenings with festiva friends on this trip.
Arty and Catey were great hosts, I really like the English pub like place.
                      Good beer, food, friends.
If I get that job, that's were we are going to celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I missed my opportunity to meet Robert Arachnid, as he bailed on us Wed night!
Not mention the beer he has offered to buy me.
                      That's what hurts most!

^ Long interviews are a good sign. If they weren't interested, they wouldn't waste their time.

Snow is melting fast here, but there's still a 3 foot high ice block where I'd have to park the Festy.

I have all the parts needed for the Aspire swap. The waiting is killing me.
