fuel prices going thru the roof again

        It's been this way for almost 10 years. It really got in sync around the end of 2004.
        Also, 2 years ago, the oil prices dropped pretty quick when the price/availability of electric cars from small manufacturers became more readily available.

        I think that the oil companies realized that if they get too crazy then:
        1). They kill the economy & then noone buys
        2). Alternative fuel/electric cars become more of a competitive market.

            Fall, 2008. Oil prices went from $140 something down to $30 something.

            The fall mirrors the Dow.

            You can lay the two charts on each other and they match really well. Trade-able well. :wink:

              If you don't mind a used rental car, you can get a really good deal on a 1 - 2 year old, full size SUV now. If gas goes back to $4+, Dealers will be begging you to take one.

              We had hummers and Suburbans on our lot that collected cobwebs back in 2008.
