Well DUH dude if you put a new clutch on a toasted flywheel youre gonna have a toasted clutch in no time.
No point in swapping an F or G series on a B3 period. You could/should swap in an auto though!91GL BP/F3A with boost

If your planning on doing a b6 in the future and running it hard then just get a f series and a clutch for the f series so u don't windup spending more money on a new clutch bc they are a different size. The g series is kind overkill for a b6 if its gunna be n/a.

The F series will require custom mounts.
I'm going to recommend the Exedy clutch too. I'm running one and love it. No slip, even after about 20,000 miles and I beat my car. The clutch should be fine behind a B6 too (I'm hoping that it's fine behind a B8ME).
Definitely resurface the flywheel while you have everything apart.Festiva: Because even my dog can build a Honda.

oh ok thanks . because my plans where to turbo the b3. but right now leaning into justputting a b6 longblock, new clutch new flywheel, fms racing camshaft, 255lph fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, some headers, fuel exhaust system at least 2inch. my question was also will getting the fms racing cams fit the festiva with the b6 longblock? also the headers?

The b8 and bp are a easier swap then the b6 engine wise and wiring. Tranny may be more difficult though. The F series wasnt that bad on mounts. We used a awd mount and the cut bottom and flipped it around and welded it back. We used a protege side tranny mount. the only mount i dont have on mine is the rear but as far as I can tell there isnt any engine rockin at all. Even have the hydrolic setup from pedal to tranny. No adapters.Last edited by 91_festy_Gl; 03-03-2011, 03:55 PM.89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422

hows the car running. because im getting a big check from around 1500 this month, so planning to waist about 1300 on the car or less idc, i was leaning on the b8 but i want the bp but they are very hard to find around here. because im planning to go to the wisconsin races. so trying to get the car done soon. my uncle is taking his toyota corolla 1.8 turbo i know i wont be close to him but i wanna go fast also. i heard the b6 was easier swap. but i guess not. still looking for a motor which gives 110+ hp, the bp will be my choice but looks hard to find one here in chicago.. for cheap.

my car runs great. has a bit of hesitation when stomped but I think thats because of the low compression block. That will all change this summer maybe, other then that its faster than any other hatch back I have seen around. Fox bodies laugh there butts off when they see a festy smoking the tires off. hatch back civics wont touch it.89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422

Funny. Seems like everybody has different results. My oem clutch had 190,000 miles of pretty agressive driving on it when I changed to my b6 without a hint of a slip. I put a brand new exedy in with it and it was great for about 6 mo. and started slipping horribly. when I put my bp in I put a new sachs clutch in and again after about 6 months it started slipping. At least it only slips during hard acceleration after the 1 to 2 shift. No problem in normal driving like the exedy did. Heck I couldnt even pass somebody on the freeway. It slipped to bad. By aggressive driving I mean pushing the engine to the hilt but no clutch dumping or slam shifting. My stock tranny now has 250,000 miles on it and is holding up strong so far. (crosses fingers).
