  • Bout to scrap my b6t!

    Threw some fresh plugs in yesterday and take it out. It was running awesome...way better. Got into it a couple times. Did 0-60 in 5.0 seconds according to my phone. Doubt its quite right...anyway...started smoking and idling real rough. Losing power etc...

    Just did a compression check...

    150-150-170-170 dry

    170-170-195-270 with oil....is that even possible?

    I think my harbor fright gauge might be reading high but you get the idea.

    Brand new plugs looked like crap...all were sooty and #1 looked oily.

    Its looking like I gotta pull the motor....again... just got it back together in time to drive it all winter

    don't give up...... I know Mike (flyin4stroke) had some similar issues with his.

      Well I work 7 days a week so I really have no time to dig into it...

        ^ let it sit till you are ready. Or grab a bp and put it in it's place

            Actually im still planning on sticking it in the 92 auto...possibly boosted..
            already got the bp26 ECU. Big ty has a manifold and turbo.

              That I do!!! and some b/a 460cc injector's too :-P those dudes on cp run 460's with the stock bp26 ecu and vaf, not sure how they tune it though...

              1993 Festiva L, aspire swapped, selling parts for a BP+T build.

                  I had a similar problem and it was the Pcv valve.

                  Smoked like crazy, thought it was blown for sure.

                      no it wont... do what i did... swap all your b6t stuff onto the BP. thats what i did when i popped b6t #3...
                      I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

                        Its more than the PCV, dipstick is nice and milky. I wish it was just the PCV...

                        The #1 plug was also soaked in oil.

                        Motors coming out. Prolly get re-ringed and bearings. Wont be using a rock head gasket this time either.

                          milky is coolant. Head gasket. And is the oil on hte very tip of the plug or just hte thread? CAuse that might just be your valve cover gasket
