  • Thats good lookin, what car did the bumper come from.
An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

        • very nice ^^

I just got home from pulling a smokin clean 130k b6. but, it was a tow behind car and I imagine this engine has barely half that if these camper people towed it enough for the last 20 years.

I pulled the cylinder head last saturday which is good cuz it took the weight of the car to free it loose. crazy. and then I bought everything today. Even slapped on a festy disty, water neck, plug wires and threw the coil and other components under the TB and only paid 195. Nate is giving me a block and I'll get 25 back. not too shabby for this deal. The distributor looks brand new, pics to come

I'm actually stashin stuff in the trunk of a car down there and then in a few weeks they'll be doing the "carry all you can" and I'll carry all that crap then for 65 bucks!!

nate's giving me one as well but I do need two now that I have two b6's

Don't use an american car. Smashing the locks off of GM and Ford trunks used to be the second most fun (and third easiest) part of my job when I worked at the JY.

                • are you using the hood of a small car with straps going around your neck so you can haul off everything?

I'm not that worried about it. it's a newer full size car and is electronic and if someone wants in THAT bad then whatever. All I have in there is ranger stuff now, some tow hooks, A/C drier-thingamajig, a radiator and some small stuff. I don't think I'm going to carry the ranger cyl heads... I had to bust open the nasty looking tempo trunk since I misplaced the key to it. you're right, it isn't hard. I have the new key on my key ring

No, I used a seatbelt and their hoist to pull it. I did pick it up from the truck to an old roll-around seat I've had since I was a kid. I'm guessing it's around 250? I need to weigh it!! And, usually I'll find some misc harness inside a car that's long and remove the tape and then have 3-5 wires to tie everything together with. pretty efficient and not as noticeable as a seat belt. I find seat belts are better for big stuff

I hate when people try to re wire cars.
A friend of mine has a 1970 Jeep Wagoneer that's a mess. The turn signals, front back and indicators, come one when you step on the brake pedal. Under the dash is a rats nest...

Today I moved and rewired my second horn. Maybe it won't short out now.
