  • Went to Pull-A-Part today. Installed a Protege wheel from a '91 into FestEvil, I like it better than the '96 626 wheel, its just as padded and comfy, but it looks much more "at home" in the festiva than the 626 wheel, which looked too modern for the rest of the interior. Another nice little plus is that the horn ring matches up, so there is no modification needed for the horn to work properly.

Also picked up some parts that will make the install of the BP in Keith's car go more smoothly, requiring less tearing apart of the escort. Little stuff like intake tube, vac line for the brake booster, misc. I got 1 year old battery for $20, it will probably go in the Focus.

And I found a 4WD Protege there too, so this weekend when I'm back there I'll be pulling some parts for folks. Already spoken for are the driver side front axle, cable shifter, and the diff lock module. If anyone else needs anything let me know by tomorrow night, I'm leaving out first thing in the morning!
    No festiva for me ATM...

    • Just put on my MPV rear hatch actuator. I used a brass rod joiner with set screws from a Honda. Both rods move together. Now to wire it.

Love that wheel, I'm picking up another tomorrow when I go back down, might get two if I can find two more lol.

Got my rear tow hooks today from Christ, can't wait to get back to work on my hitch, finished the trailer yesterday and towed some mulch with it (behind the van) but once the festiva has a hitch it will be much easier and viable to use the trailer often.

            • Sorry for the delay in shipping them... had things to take care of and couldn't make it to the post office LOL.

I keep forgetting that they'll pick up packages when they deliver mail. :/

              • I mounted up my new daily summer wheel setup. I also have my 155/80/13 snows on vx wheels, and 205/40/16 on a set of xxrs for autox. the 16s suck for daily driving, very twitchy and harsh not to mention the fuel economy toll.

These wheels are off a bmw e21 and require a decent amount of fender rolling to fit with no rubbing. The tires are 175/70/13.

                    • Got a 4wd drive Protege axle and shifter assy to trade for some parts I need for the EGT! Thanks Aaron and Daniel! And for my festiva I picked up a carb and intake from an '83 Escort. Awesome little car, it was a 5 speed wagon with over 400k on it! I think most of those miles were likely not under it's own power though, as it had a heavily used RV towing setup on the front.

                      • A friend came over and we built 10' x 16' x 1' shelves underneath the back of my house. 24 shelves total. One section (at least) will be for festiva parts. It was a horrible nightmare of junk and good and bad parts down there before this.
