axle shaft questions

im looking on ebay at xr2 shafts, the driver side is correct 26 spline inner and 24 spline outer, but the passanger side sais that its 24 spline inner and outer! wtf that dosent make any sense?! i counted the splines for the trans side of the half shaft and it is a 26 spline so is the listing just incorrect? here are the listings im looking at

are you using the intermediate shaft? the picture looks correct

yes i have the int. shaft and its 26 and 26 spline. so bot axles should bthrough anothere 26 inner and 24 outer, i just dont want to go through another ebay dispute bc someone put a part under the wrong application. its a real pain and time consuming, the pics lookk correct and the size looks about right but the splines raise concern for me.

i would recommend Empi brand shafts, there a big name in vw stuff, i had a set of mc autoparts and there not as good as the empis, the empis are a lot thicker and look much more heavy duty. there not remand's either. i called and i think they where 80 a piece and no core

It seems to have conflicting info in the auction. At the top, it says XR2 + Base model, and I know for a fact that'd never work in a base model.

However, at the bottom it shows turbo only.

I'm going to guess its probably the right part with some bad info. I dont even think there is any application that uses a 24 spline inner?

well i guess i will just buy them and cross my fingers! and hope for the best!
