Maybe she was taking her sick daughter to the ER that was having an asthma attack or she got a call from her husband job site that he passed out and she was on the way to meet the ambulance at the hospital.

The truth is you dont know, screwing with people is a good way to get shot at, sure you may be right but being right still looks bad on a tomb stone.

If you did that crap to me ( then came back to my car ) some one would be getting a phone call to visit you in the hospital

I agree Nova. Though I am only 37, my experience tells me that you just don't mess with angry people in their cars. I have been ran off the road next to a semi, followed for 45 minutes, and of course told I was #1 many of times. I even had an 80 yr old man give me an earfull. All for just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. People just don't realize accidents or simple mistakes anymore. I am of course not nieve enough to fall for any of it any more. People have waaaay too much confidence inside their cars. Really is getting scary.

Yea nothing to do with their parents some people just dont like to go the speed limit or they just in a hurry. Me I just wave my pistol out the window like I want them to pass.... jk jk I would never do that im a very responsible person with my firearms. I dont tail gate usually I just wait till I am able to pass. Tail gating is a good way to get in a wreck or piss someone off.

            What Nova said:

"Maybe she was taking her sick daughter to the ER that was having an asthma attack or she got a call from her husband job site that he passed out and she was on the way to meet the ambulance at the hospital.

You never know for sure what is going on inside people's heads. I'm convinced that a lot of them don't even consider they are doing anything wrong. I also stopped trying to "tell" them years ago. The safest thing you can do is to work around their faults/mistakes/tempers/etc.

Also, aggressively responding to another's crap may be considered "escalating the situation" in a court of law, making your claims of "self-defense" a lot less defensible in that court, or at least complicating the trial and costing you even more money to stay out of jail or keep from paying fines or lawsuits.

If you carry a weapon for self-defense, you shouldn't even consider responding to this crap except for attempting to defuse and de-escalate the situation. As police instructor Massad Ayoob said many years ago:

"Your 'right' to tell someone off or punch someone in the face ends when you carry a gun."

Most problems can be avoided by seeing the potential for violence early and taking action to avoid it or leave the area. Saves a lot of trouble. If you live to over sixty, trouble will have plenty of chances to find you! Why help it along?

I just look at them in my mirror and throw up my hands and that usually gets them to back off. If not I just slowly ease off the pedal till they get the message and then resume speed. In the future I would not recommend getting out of your vehicle. She had no idea why you got out of your car. She may of seen it as a sign of aggression and in some states she could have shot or ran over you with no consequences to her.
Very well said. Sorry pal, I don't think this has to do with anything about someone being rich. There are a lot of hard working people in the world that busted their butt to get a little higher up on the food chain, take myself for example. Born dirt poor to a farmer, now I'm an educated engineer, and doing quite well thank you very much.

This lady in a brand new dodge van pulled out of her house after i passed her. Well she decided that i was going to slow so she was on my rear for a good min till we got to a strait away. Then she decided to try and pass me i was in second so i decided to have me some fun and not let her pass and then she was on my rear again and when i say rear i mean no more then a foot away. Well i was watching her in the mirror so i know when se would try agin she was yelling at me to move and flipping me the bird. Well when we got to a stop sign i got out of my car and told her it was ok and god forgives u and have a blessed day she didn't like that at all. I just hate is cause someones mommy or daddy gave them a car they think there better then us hard working folk i bet she wouldnt have tried that if i was in my truck lol.
has nothing to do with her being rich or driving a nicer car or anything along that line.

You stated you were in no hurry and didn't want a ticket....she wanted to drive faster then you and decided to pass. I am sure she was not flipping out till you pulled the little speed up and not let her pass maneuver.
Then you have the attitude that she was in the wrong and taunted her even more by getting out and saying something to her. I do not think it would have mattered what you were driving if you were going slower and she wanted to pass and you messed with her to keep her from passing...that would piss anybody off...and you may not admit it but you would have been pissed too.

I know in my world you would have had a hard time walking back to your car after that kind of stunt...just saying.

I let people go who tailgate but it is frustrating to see them do all that work to get around but then not continue at the faster pace. Now you have a big suv or minivan in front of you that you can't see around. To her you were messing with her out of nowhere. Pick your battles is all I'm saying.
