  • New high MPGs!!

Last tank got 43.1 MPGs. Distributor cap and bug helped push it past that 40 mark. Now all I need to do is lower it and add a skid plate and maybe I can get 45.

Wow. I'm averaging 35MPG. Also burning a couple quarts of oil per tank too though, haha.

Maybe a VW Bug rear-ended him and literally pushed him past 40.

I'm interested in knowing the species of bug. Also, where do you install the bug? Do you need to feed it anything, or does it just do the job without any help? "Performance entomology" could be the next big thing is what I'm thinking.

                Thanks,

My Aspire did 44.7mpg last week doing between 55-65mph...but I was drafting behind tractor-trailers most of the time. Don't know if that counts.

Either way, I usually get between 33-38mpg for each tank.

                            44mpg in the GL.
                            15 in the Range Rover.

Both with light driving and no a/c.

I still drive the GL harder than the rover though.
