I can't get above 37, no matter what I do. The right axle is making horrible clunking sounds and I have bump steer like crazy! I've worn half way through a set of Toyos in less than 1K miles! Is it only the axle???

Well not to jack up this poor man's thread, but sounds like a new axle, a pair of LCA's and a good alignment is what you need.

This is the bug I'm currently using on the festiva. Even though its only an inch long I think its big enough for the festiva (since its such a small car) without introducing too much extra weight.

However, for my Astro van I'm thinking something more like this may do the trick.

I'll report back with the increase in mileage soon

Oh, and thanks to the OP for reminding me I need to change the cap and rotor in wifey's car
        No festiva for me ATM...

Theory of evolution - theory of creation. Hmm seems fair to me. Seems like both THEORIES being presented as opposed to only one.

I agree Neaderpaul. People need to stop short changing God. Believe it or not he can do creation or evolution:sunny: Editoral Comment - WWJD? Not get sidetracked on stuff that doesn't matter like creationism vs. evolution or the "Rapture".

But these are not equivalent. A scientific theory is arrived at after collecting data, hypothesizing about what it means, and then testing it. The results of the testing are then evaluated, proven, and the results shown to be reproducible by others, and the result is a scientific theory. Sometimes theories are disproved or modified, usually due to improvements in technology and testing regimens.

Religiously-based ideas about the world, the afterlife, the soul, etc., simply amount to what people are comfortable believing. These are not theories in the scientific sense.

The Church in the middle ages said Earth was the center of the universe, and the Sun and everything else revolved around it. This was not a scientific theory, just what was politically/spiritually correct at the time.

If churches want to teach creationism, intelligent design, or that the Universe was created in 4004 B.C., I'm fine with that. Live and let live. But let's not pretend that this is in the same realm as science.

I submit that that is exactly what can be done using the bible.

Yet the bible said the earth was round. Isaiah 40:22 "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:"

Circle, globe, vault, and arch are some of the translations.

I don't have to pretend. The bible is scientifically solid.

Warmer weather is helping. Oh, and drafting behind a larger vehicle makes me get the same mpg at 75mph as it does at 60mph in my SRT-4. It's crazy gains. I suggest buying a cheap vacuum gauge for your festiva or aspire. The more negative you can keep the needle when under low loads the better.

                            Nova for rednecks = WIN.

It is impossible to prove or disprove that God created the universe, because the existence of God is itself unprovable. People who try to do so always have to make unsupportable jumps in logic. Spiritual/metaphysical belief is not amenable to logic or science. But I have no beef with it. Just accept that it is belief/faith and be happy that you have it.

I'm just pointing out that dogma can interfere with reality. Some people think that dinosaur bones were placed in the earth to test man's faith in whatever dogma a specific church has; like the one that says the earth is only a few thousand years old, for example. To have such beliefs in the face of scientific proof to the contrary is irrational, and shows that the believer has an agenda which requires he/she believes such things. An agenda I would consider unhealthy, because overly rigid. But if people want to believe stuff like this, and can make it work for them, fine. Just because people believe something, does not mean the belief should be respected, tho. Only the right to believe what they want should be respected. Cases in point: the Westboro Baptist Church, radical Islamists, the followers of Jim Jones, the Branch Davidians in Waco, TX. People who need such a rigid, dogmatic belief system are people who are uncomfortable with freedom; the freedom to think for themselves, engage in intellectual exploration. They need strong boundaries to insulate them from the perceived chaos around them, to make them feel safe and the world make sense.

This is not criticism, just my observations about people.

Edit: man, we have totally hijacked crusher's thread!
