Welcome to the site! As stated above, the Aspire rear axle beam has a small round rod added to it, tucked up inside the "taco" shaped torque beam. It acts in the same manner as a rear sway bar. The Festy axle doesn't have this feature (but it could be added).
Also, the Aspire front hubs are constructed differently than a Festy. They are more like modern FWD applications in that the brake rotor can be easily removed and/or replaced without complete disassembly. The Festiva has the brake rotor attached to the hub assembly. You have to remove the entire hub and disassemble it (using a press) to replace or turn the brake rotors. So........better handling, better brakes, easier maintenance & better wheel availability.

              Welcome to fordfestiva.com JR.
Haven't done an Aspire suspension swap so I can't help you there, but I've never been without at least one Festiva since 1990, so I know a little about how things wear out and the little thing that go wrong with them.

Let the stink clear before approaching the window. That was a funny episode of family guy. "close the window, your letting the stink out!"

We are sorry you are a dork. At least you fixed the stuttering. Having a Festiva will not improve other people's opinion of you tho. Except for us, but we are dorks too.

You can also use your Festy as a kind of Litmus test....to weed out the truely good people from the rest of society. If they make fun of you for owning one they are either closed-minded, ignorant, foolish or a combination of all three.
