I've searched some, not very good at figuring out how to find what I'm looking for, I don't understand the engine codes.

So........ I have a Ford car, made by KIA in Korea, with a Mazda engine made in Japan?!?

I would have never thought to look up Mazda.

I'm pretty sure the whole car was designed by Mazda. Kia built it, Ford put a badge on it. It's not really a Ford at all lol.
        BP, Aspire brakes, stock trans.

Right, I'm sure Mazda/Ford had Kia assemble them because of lower labor rates in S. Korea. There was very little profit margin on our cars when they were new.

And this is why so many Mazda motors (and the Escort GT's BP) bolt up to the Festy tranny....
