Cut the Aspire springs one coil to keep it stock ride height. You may not want to cut the rear springs so you can have better cargo capacity.

Nah i want to raise it Safety guy, i'm thinking of using it as a little rally car in club events, the front suspension is way to soft though its like being in a boat. But it would also be road registered and transport for my small business which would mean throwing some business logos on it.
So far i have mudflaps for it and a light bar for the spotlights which are actually aircraft landing lights, i had this stuff already in the garage as i setup a mazda 626 to do the same thing but ended up selling it before i could take it out so i took everything off it.
The only other thing i would need for starters would be a bash plate to protect the front end.
Now i have read many threads on the gear linkage bushes but what i want to know is there life expectancy when used in a 'rally car'. I was contemplating using some fabricated from a metal but thought they would probably break down faster than original ones? I'm happy to be a guinea pig with the bushes and test what ever you can recommend.

Still have the festiva, have been on holidays so havent done anything to it. Am undecided wether to build a track car or a rally style car, not sure the festiva would suit a track car with its small 1.3L as i want to get more bang for my buck and get a car suited to hillclimbs etc, so i'm thinking about selling it.

I put it out the front of our house for sale, put $400 on it, woman shows up wants car for daughter and agreed to $300 as is. Was meant to pick it up yesterday... her husband shows up to look at it... says they will call me today... today comes and they were meant to be here at 3pm, its now 4:26pm, get a sms from them telling me they will pay for it tomorrow.
HOW HARD IS IT TO PICK UP A $300 CAR!! Which i honestly think is worth abit more than that. Tempted to reply with ' dont bother i've decided to keep it '.

They aren't "worth that much" here i the U.S. either. Book has been $800 - $1200 for years. That didn't stop me from getting $2k for one last month. It didn't stop one from hitting $3300 earlier this summer on ebay. Over there it's no different. Remember how people here told you how good of a deal you got? Well we were serious.
