Hey everyone, I guess u could say I'm a noobie to this site and festiva's xD. Anyways I'm trying to figure out what motor swap is cheapest/fastest for my 93 sextiva...(i hope no one has that nickname for the festie, cuz everyone i kno calls my car that) And I'm also looking for people in the orlando/universal area to have car meets with. I currently a student at UTI, so i know a thing or two about vehicles. My festy has 5k miles on its rebuilt motor and i need a/c for it bad, cuz this florida sun, isn't forgiving. Anyways i was selling my festiva until skimsucka convinced me not too but yeaa he recommended me to join this site and meet all the other fest'nation fanatics. lol wow kinda dragged that on xD

Welcome xD!
"UTI," eh? (I know what the medical world calls that!)
You're in the right place, both here and in Florida. Are you coming to FMV? That would be a heck of a first meet to go to!
As for easiest swaps, it would be the B6. However, "easy" may also refer to what you can get when you're ready. B8s aren't too much more difficult and a lot of folks have done BP swaps.
Whichever you do, you'll also want to upgrade your suspension and brakes. The easiest way to do that is a relatively simple Aspire suspension/brake swap. I've done two, with the Aspire springs cut one coil each. If you want to haul stuff, I'd leave the rear coils uncut, though.
Do a lot of reading and searching, then ask questions after you've learned a lot. That's the best way.
Karl'93GL "Prettystiva" ticking B3 and 5 speed, backup DD; full swaps in spring!
'91L "AquaMutt" my '91L; B6 swap/5 speed & Aspire brakes, DD/work car
'92L "Twinstiva" 5sp, salvage titled, waiting for repairs...
'93GL "Luxstiva," '94 B6 engine & ATX; needs overhauled
'89L "Muttstiva," now a storage bin, future trailer project

Pro-tip: Read every sticky and build thread you can. Find every interesting little possible part that can swap over and read about it. Old and new build threads alike contain TONS of great information on which engines and parts work well with eachother or dont work at all.
Give it a few years and youll know everything, or just dream big and dive right in. Doing with no fear and a forum of people to assist is the sure-fire fastest way to become a festiva guru1992 Festiva...
