Hello everyone, i'm new the festiva community... new to owning a ford at that. Picked up a 92 festiva off of craigslist as a commuter about a month ago and i've been loving it so far. Although it hasn't been without some complications. The rear brake cylinder leaked and burned off all the grease in my wheel bearings and welded the spindle nut to the spindle so when i went to replace it, i stripped the spindle Anyways member sc72 really came through and got me spindle, thanks again to him.
Next, the tires were shot and locally, i couldn't find any 12" tires so I ended up buying a set of 14" Enkei 92 mesh wheels from craigslist and threw them on with some brand new tires. This in turn meant i had to pull and roll the fenders to get everything to fit without rubbing.
Here's how I got her.
Here's with the new wheels: 14x6 +33 offset with 175/65/14 tires.
And here's today after a slow day at work I decided to cut the fenders so they're actually round.
Tomorrow I will be flaring them so i can fit a set of even wider 14" wheels with a lower offset. I'll be posting more pics and updating as I get everything thrown on. Oh and the car is lowered on a set of KYB gr2 shocks with cheap ebay coilovers. In the picture with the green wheels she was still on the cut stock springs and factory struts from the original owner.
Cheers!
