  • Whoo hoo! V6 festiva passes emissions!!

Today i took my festiva for an etest and it passed :headbang::headbang: although it was borderline to failing the HC's which i half expected since it runs a bit rich, but a pass is still a pass

so i also went and had my friend write me a safety for it (for insurance reasons) and now all i need to do is call my insurance company on monday and renew my license plate sticker and my festiva is officially road legal again and ready for FM5 :headbang:

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Of course it will  cause by the time it needs another etest (July, 13') i should have it on a standalone, wideband etc. so i'd tune it down to not run so rich

In ontario with an engine swap, the car gets put under the "hot rod" category, which means it's easier to pass...... my car is running rich enough to leave black crap all over the back of the car, and it still passed

I hate emissions  the rules used to be any car over 20 years old did not need an etest anymore, but then they changed the rules that 88+ cars needs an etest from now on but 87 and older no longer need to be tested
