Damkid: so am I too understand that if there is a 'non-OEM' engine in a southern Ontario car the e-test facility has to relax it's testing standards? If there isn't a B6 or BP in place in mine two years from now (my stock car passed at the end of June) I'll be on the lookout for a Mazda-badged B3 valve cover or something to that effect just to throw off the test facility hounds. By the way is a B6 valve cover compatible with a B3 head?
In any case, my congratulations, and admiration, for creating a street-legal V6 Festy.

Thanks Bert.... From what i understand, if a vehicle has an engine in it that was never an available option, then it is considered a "hot rod" so yes a festiva with a B6 would fall under that category

a SOHC B6 would probably still pass, its VERY hard to tell an 8 valve 1.6 from a B3.

The B6 i once had, said 1.6 injection on the intake, other then that, yes i agree they are very very similar

^^ Was it a 2nd Gen with the air inlet on the driver's side? If you use a 1st Gen it looks exactly like a B3 other than the exhaust manifold
If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem

^^ Did it have the "over the valve cover" TB/intake setup?
