I just painted my hub caps, and theres a little scratch on one already (before it went on my car).. anyway, ive already put 4 layers of spray paint and 2 layers of clear on it over a 4 day timeframe, is it ok to just sand it a little to scuff and smooth it then paint, or do I have to strip all the paint back off to make it perfect?

Just wondering..i aspire to paint my car soon, so if that got scratched.......
I hate being like this but I like stuff to be perfect, or as close as I can get it anyway. I realise the road rash is gonna tear it up sooner or later, but i just invested almost 2 weeks in spray painting hub caps, it needs to be perfect, even if its just for a minute!2008 Kia Rio- new beater
