I'm sorry to say that my Yellow 42 car won't be making it to the meet. First off, let me say that I'm OK. I don't need a hundred PM's and phone calls, I really am fine.
I was driving it to an appointment after work and had just pulled off I-440 and was sitting on the ramp for the light to change when I heard a pop and saw smoke coming out from the hood, so I grabbed my stuff and bailed out of the car and called 911. I could see flames under the car and smoke pouring out around the hood. Here is the aftermath.
The engine bay is so destroyed, that we may never be able to tell what happened. Getting unloaded at the house.
Jay's theory us that Dean wanted his car back. If you knew Dean, you know that he loved his yellow Festiva more that any other Festiva he had. Jay says that the only way for Dean to get it back was for it to die. Well, I loved that car too and I'm not happy about losing it but hopefully Dean will have fun running around in it again.
