  • Flyin Miata crank nose tool?

Check this out and someone tell me if it would be useful for any of our engines:

Flyin' Miata is the world leader in Miata performance and well-engineered, proven Miata MX5 components. We offer parts for a full range of Mazda Miata, MX5 and Eunos Roadsters vehicles.

My guess is "yes." Who can verify or deny?

Oh, another product, louvers for the hood:

What do you think? I know some folks were talking about this a while back and maybe this part would fit Festivas better since it's small sized?

I would say yes very valuable for holding the crank when removing the crank bolt for doing a timing belt change. and it will work with a small or large nose crank!

      That's what I thought.

Now check out the louvers. Yum. (Though maybe some hardware store has some home vent louvers that would work. Ha.)

I thought the bolts are recessed in the crank pulley. How does the flat tool bolt up? Rocketmans tool is bent to fit into the crank pulley. I would like to know because I need a tool to hold the crank so I can remove the crank bolt from a large snout crank at the salvage yard.

There is indeed an offset between the crank pulley and the oil pan lip, at least on the B6T...I think on the BP too. My tool matches these offsets so there is no interference & can be attatched from any angle. Not sure if the FlyinMiata tool is capable of that.

I have versions for both shortnose/longnose (smallnose? / largenose?) cranks presently
