Hi, I just signed up today. I don't currently have a Festiva but am thinking about getting in the game. Its great to see the enthusiasm all you guys have for these great little American (Mexican?) made cars. My current "toy" is a Cutlass convertible with a big block & a posi but with gas prices these days WHAT FUN IS THAT!?!

Newbie here too. You guys seem like a fun bunch. Im also in the market for a Festiva. The BP conversion looks interesting.
Looks like alot of you guys have big block muscle cars on the side. But exactly like the other poster said, feeding that old dinosaur with gas is no fun. With a Festiva, you have the best of both worlds.

Last time I had my car out I threw down with a guy in a Focus. While I was laying posi stripes and sliding all over the place he was pulling away from me slow & steady. That guy laughed all the way to the bank. I used to think cars like mine were cool but i think I'm seeing the light. I could sell my car, build myself a nice Festiva and have some money left over. Were these cars ever built with T-Tops?:sign7:Viva de Festiva!!!!

Welcome to the site guys.
I know what you mean by old school muscle cars. Cool as can be, but these days 15 MPG isn't. As far as I know, no T tops, but there are sun roofs and "FunTops" (full canvas roof).
Be warned, these little things are as addictive as crack (and there is no rehab). Also, all of your friends will think you have lost your mind.Festiva: Because even my dog can build a Honda.

175 too much for an Altima!? not possible. try 260/260 in a cobalt... the chassis is so well worked out from the factory that another 100hp would make it feel right (not that 260 is anything to sneeze at).

That is a car I will own one day, probably a early 70s 442, white on white on white if I can find one. Old guy at church had one, and it was gorgeous!Last edited by htchbck; 11-09-2011, 08:04 AM.No festiva for me ATM...
