    Maybe not the right place to post this, but I have a dead alternator.
    I pulled it from a Festiva that was spraying oil everywhere. I assume the alternator is full of oil. We cleaned it out well and it worked for a minute or two but died again and haven't gotten it to work since.
    What parts could have been affected and is it repairable or just scrap now?

      Call Gene. It's got to be cheaper to have him fix it even with shipping than it would be to buy new or take your chances with a junkyard unit.
