If that was my car that would just be extra storage space j/k lol

Yep, brake lines on festiva1 are in pretty good shape. Can't speak for festiva2 but I can't imagine they're too good.... brakes are super mushy.

My rockers are gone entirely, but that'll be addressed with the next paycheck.

Your better off with a different car basement, that thing needs weeks of rust repair. Which isn't an easy job.

Karl you did a really good job removing that rusty spot! I want to do that to one of mine but never did anything with rust before...

BL, keep in mind I didn't remove all the rust, just what was easiest to brush or cut out. It's still under there, covered with undercoating, metal patching and paint. I wasn't trying for a perfect fix though. Just something to get the car "slush tight" to keep the elements out. I figure the body should last for a few more years and then I can find a better one to transfer the parts.

In Canada there are 2 really good oil spray products that work to prevent/control rust; RustChek and Krown. Untreated cars (all makes) disappear in s. Ontario within 10-12 years whereas my annually oil-sprayed Festy's are all still intact. Mind you whatever grade steel KIA was using for Festys was way better than what the Brits, Fiat, FoMoCo during the mid 70s, and Renault had been using.
