It gets even better when parking in a snow park, with snowmobile on trailer behind.
I can park virtually anywhere in a sea of monster diesels pulling huge covered
trailers. Before I lifted the car if it got stuck in there my snowmobile can pull
it out! When a big rig does a hot tire melt and make ice now he's stuck scenario
it takes another big rig or a lot of digging to get them going again.

The best one was following a big diesel and biiigggg trailer to an upper parking
area 10 miles back in. About a mile into this canyon on a tight single lane logging
road the road was blocked by a wall of snow. We were faced with backing to the
nearest pullout a mile back at the entry to the canyon. I unhooked my trailer,
spun it by hand , turned the car around and hooked it back up, said I will wait
at the turn around to help you, I should be done with lunch by then..ha ha
an hour later after hearing some unrepeatable language then your buddy says
I'm going to have to get me one of them...Man thats better than winning a show
    or a race !

20" is a happy medium. I don't have too much streaking but in heavy wind it will chatter across the windshield.

Thats where the aerodynamic arms come in handy! No chattering....

I love the turning radius of this car. For u turning and tight area maneuvers.
I like to park in small spots and really like parking next to douchebag parkers who take more than one spot.

Yea... enjoy that while you can. I have a nice crack on my bumper from people thinking that a spot was empty. And I'm in the process of rebuilding my street bike for the same thing. And both times I was parked in the one spot of a parking lot where the cameras couldn't see a thing.... the bumper doesn't bother me too bad, but motorcycle fairings aren't cheap.

I never pull into a parking space all the way up because of this reason exactly...

I've come to realize that Festivas turning radius aren't as great as I thought. Both mine and my dads Jetta do a U-turn way tighter.

They are not the best, but better than most......My best turning radius was on my 1986 Bronco ii......Way better than the festiva IMO... The Bronco was so fun, but broke down too much, lol....

EDIT - I just looked it up, and the Festivas turning radius is 4.6ft, and the bronco ii was 5.2ft......I guess it just felt better in a bigger vehicle?

                            4.6ft?!
My truck's turning radius is at least 30ft and much more with the front axle locked in..

Wow. No wonder pulling into a parking spot facing the wrong way is so easy in a Festiva.

thats probably supposed to say yards, and i loved the turning radius on my bronco ii. it was tighter than my ranger by a good bit. And i'll try to get a real parking pic up sometime soon.

My parents have a tight U shaped driveway into the basement garage. The only two cars I've had that made it in one swoop are my festy and a 99 Chevy s-10
                                Buck.
