  • Festiva towing mini toy hauler??

These trailers are really light. haul a lot. Have AC, and all, yet haul ATV's
Does anybody know anything about these or the company??
All I could find was St.Louis office? Any dealers?

Those things look neat, how much are those things?

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Did a quick search and could not find anything that is that small. Could not find anything like it searching Lite/Toy or any combination.
Live across the river form St. Louis. There was a RV show this weekend. May be able to look some more and call around.
Do you have any more info about the trailer, like mfg. name? Will look some more tomorrow when I have time.
By the way. There are several Teardrop trailer forums and I am sure someone has built one. They are a lot like Festiva owners. Love to show, share and help.
      I hate being Bi-Polar, it's awesome.

That was silly of me! They are called Utilitoy and web site is http://www.utilitoy.com/

They weigh in 900# range but are strong and roomy. I would guess they
are in the 10 grand range?

Looks like those tool box things fold out into the bed after the ATV is out.

I bet you'd pay as much for one as you would a decent size regular toy hauler.

About the Utilitoy I did find this article by Hayden. I wonder what they resell used at?

                  Hayden’s Note:
I called and spoke with Scott Williams, the national sales manager for Utilitoy. Mr. Williams sounded very genuine and you could tell he was really excited about this product. He informed me that the roof portion is all one piece, made of a molded material. That means no leaks in the middle of a rainstorm! And while these pictures are great, they do not do the Utilitoy justice. The trailer is quite large – if you look closely at the pictures with the beds in them, you’ll see that it’s really two different beds. A front bunk and a rear bunk!
As many of you know, my enclosed cargo trailer was recently stolen. The trailer was used in a similar fashion as a teardrop trailer or camper and was your usual Wells Cargo-styled sheetmetal trailer. The Utilitoy, however, comes with an aluminum frame, lots of square footage and headroom, and better aerodynamics than any cargo trailer could offer. It also doubles as a conventional cargo trailer for bicycles, motorcycles, plywood, furniture, and more. The interior can just be sprayed clean with a hose!
When I talked to Mr. Williams regarding the price, he advised that the base models start in and around the $7,000-range and that one with all of the options could be had for under $9,000. He also stated that they have an excellent finance program with a local lender. I’ll be speaking with Mr. Williams again shortly and will report back!

I think the above might be dated somewhat, I wonder if they are still in biz??

I'd think something like that would have it's way with you on the freeway. Then there's the 'real-world' weight due to all the stuff you'd haul in it, which would end up weighing twice that really quickly (say, with a bearcat quad)... Of course, you haul TREES with your car...

A 2 week Elk camp can get a little heavy, but I could leave some stuff home.
What little hiway driving I do is not a problem, I cruise with flow of traffic
on hwy 97. I do have to plot my route on computer (mapsource ) and
using profile review the route for elevation changes on gravel to make sure
I can climb it. I am out in the woods so much I have almost everything within
100 miles memorized by now. If I was traveling the wind forecast would be of
interest! The shape of this utilitoy would put most of the side gust forces against
the trailer tires rather than the rear of the car, a welcome difference from most
                      house and utility-cargo trailers.

Actually, that might not be that bad! I wonder what it weighs?

Its on a snowmobile trailer with about 1200lb axle under it...
I doubt I could get it much over 40mph behind the festee

It would make a heck of a elk camp! Hook up all the power stuff..
