  • Think it's worth it?

I have the opportunity to pick this festy up for a couple hundred bucks. Door jam sticker says 1990 - I don't know too much about the rest of it, it's been sitting since 06 or so I believe.

It's an auto, don't know if it's EFI or Carby, hoping someone here could tell me I won't be keeping the stock drivetrain if I do get it.

Front end has been banged up. Can't get the hood open ATM, and the headlights are loose. She's pretty rusty I'd probably weld some sheet in over the rockers for the time being. What think?

since it is an auto it is EFI. Grill and taillights are 90+ and GL wasn't offered till 1990. Probably a 91 if it doesn't have a tach cluster.

    $200 sounds about right.

That is alot of rust on it though.

That's a GL model (body color bumpers) which replaced the LX model in 1991 (last year for LX was 1990), so that would be a model year '91. Quite rusty, too. If the good parts are worth it and you think you could patch up rusted areas, and no important structural areas are rusted through, she may be worth $200 to $300. Just make sure of the rusted areas first, especially that rear axle mount area. Might be more of a parts car.

I defiantly don't think its worth it, stay away!

Good for someone who needs random parts, or give him $60 as a parts car.

but then again, im the master of low-balling, a gypsie in disguise!

I would pay $200 just cause I need a title and vin plates and could use the spare parts.

Thanks guys. I'll try to get them to pull it out for me and I'll look at the floorboards/suspension, if it's shot I'll pass. I have a line on a cheap rustfree 91 XR2 fixxerupper, I'll probably work on that instead I would like a Festiva though

That AMC Eagle SX4 next to it needs a new home. If it's for sale, let me know and I'll pass the info on to some Pennsylvania guys on the Eagle site.

Honestly I'd rather have that, lol, but I don't have a parts pile that could fix that up, nor would it get very good gas mileage. I'll ask for info on it

amen to that... all i deal with now is Mazda. I only race mazdas, street drive mazdas, and work on mazda project cars. Sucks having no variety.. but at least with a festiva you can fix it!

i hope you get a festiva because im sure you can make some cool parts for us!! but i think that one is a bad start =(, check the core support down below by the crossmember, that is usually the worse spot,
