    That article is from 1963. Turbonique started in the 50's.

    It died out because it obviously isn't all that safe to give liquid rockets to amatures.


    They also made a rocket spun supercharger that was guarenteed to double your horsepower and thrust rockets they mounted on everything from buicks to gokarts.
