  • It's dead

Thank you everyone for helping me in my boost at 5k thread. I fixed the wastegate, took off the hose from the wastegate, welded the turbo manifold, put on the stock bov and that did nothing.

I started pulling plugs and when I pulled #2 nothing happened. I borrowed a compression tester and it measured 40 psi. It's a gonner:cry_smile:

So I think i'm going to try to get a N/A block or just another b6t. What is required to do the N/A block? Is it plug and play?

You'd probably be better off to just find another B6T

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

But will it handle the turbo?

Official score card for the compression was 70-40-80-100. Explains a lot.

Could you explain a bit please? I thought the higher compression would help with boost lag.

But you blew up Would you recommend it against the b6t?

Didn't blow up just burnt a ring or something. Was not being careful, no wideband etc...

Crank & rods are the same, unless you have a 323 turbo block - those had thicker rods.

Otherwise pistons are the only difference internally

if the bird was dumb enough to get run over instead of flying away it deserved the darwin award.
