Wall thickness is X2 for OD...=2"

The ID is fine for the power you'll be making. It might even bolt to the stock Festiva converter flange.

You may have to take the $70 R and D plunge for the rest of us, Dr. Dan.

I would hazrd the guess that it's the same grade of stainless steel as the OEM headpipe.

I can still do a flat SS flange identical to the stock converter flange if you'd like. My CNC plasma was acting up today, but I've always managed to get it working before.

It appears to have the right flange, cat side.

I am willing to sacrifice for the benefit of ff.com.
Wasnt that Bosal pipe like $45? I'll have to look again.

The ss flange may be needed! Let me get my hands on a few parts and see whats up.
Do you still have that ss tube you found at work?

        Brain Fart on Christ.

He must have been born in a barn :p

        Sorry...sorry...I meant no offense.

I saw an X-mas card one time that was awful.

Mother Mary was yelling at Jesus, "Jesus Christ, close the door, where you born in a barn".

Yeah about the tubing at work.

I was thinkin' I would do a headpipe with it, but I can't, beacuse I don't have the B6 exhaust manifold to mock up.

It has 1/8" walls, it's really heavy and can't be bent. I would not use it for tubing from the headpipe back. It just weighs too much.

I'm willing to pass some tid bits along for free. Bulk material would get me in trouble.

Yeah, thanks. That was already pointed out. I had a brain fart. :p

..but it still doesnt add up to the sellers stated 2 1/2 OD.

                  Its a double pipe...

The actual exhaust pipe is the 1 3/4 dia inside, and theres another pipe swaged onto it as an insulator, which is where the 2.5 OD comes from.

I have a 323 manifold and I bought a downpipe from Rockauto for a 323. It bolted up to my festiva cat like it was made for it. Mines single wall and was 19.99 but I looked and they don't got 'em no mo. My exhaust is completely stock from the cat on back. If it wasn't nearly new I might look for something bigger. I sure like the factory look of it though.

Zoe, was that 323 downpipe from the early model 323?

I'm running late 323 downpipes on both my 1994 323/B6 swaps. The shop had to weld on a cat connection both times. I bet yours is for the '86 to '89 323s.

Yeah, that's the one. I ordered qne for an '89 323 SOHC. Really worked out well for me. Had the flange for the spring bolts to the cat and everything. Only thing that didn't work was the brace that bolts to the engine and clamps to the pipe. I threw it away. Too bad they discontinued them. I couldn't believe how cheap it was.

Good news to hear about the 323 downpipe, zoe.
That is the pipe I was asking about!

I am looking at 2 pipes, a Walker brand, and a Bosal brand. The Bosal is cheaper, but it has this thing on the end...looks like a metal "donut".
                          The Walker doesnt have it?
I am wondering what that is?

That Bosal will work fine. I think the thing on the end is a donut gasket which seals it to the cat. I had to get one at an exhaust place after I bought the pipe. Good luck with your install, you're gonna love the way it runs. Mine's not what you would call fast, but it outclasses a B3 with a feedback carb by a hundred miles.

Yep. You'll need the donut thing. It's on the stock B3 headpipe. Bosal pipe looks good to me.
