If you knew what the car went through you would understand....we figured we would let it go out in style. I said I hated to admit it was me but I am not going to lie and say I never have treated a festiva like crap, cuz I did. Because I did treat it so poorly and the thing still lasted is why now I cherish the ones I have and know how good...I mean freaking amazing the cars are.

I'm not trying to rag you. You see I already let you off the hook here. I'm just trying to find the threads where we are ragging you so you can see them. I know there are more. It's over. You're still tops in my book.

Finally found my comment from FOUR years ago! lol!!

"If this didn't prove to you that the festiva is the toughest car ever what could? A guy I know just turned over 500,000 miles. Think of all the fun in the dirt, snow, street, track etc that could have been had with that mighty little warrior. Not to mention the $ that could have been saved in fuel economy and durability."

Hell ya it is. It still would run but the piston that was floating around in there finally lodged against the crank and it wouldnt turn over anymore. That thing was a beast I wrecked it like 3 times. There is picks of it my photo album and it made December of 2010 festiva calendar

it ain't a festy buy it proves I was into "square cars" before mosta ya whippersnappers were still pootn grin (southern for green).

                            rat rodded a vette

and yep, thats a pink and lime green int. had a blue poncho for a back seat cover, bed liner on the door and plastic trim panels, 2" long crooked shift rod, etc. oh, and green astro turf on the floor.

I did enjoy puttin it together - wish I'd have tooks pics along the process.
car was sound mechanically and I took in from stock to this myself. interior was actually done in lime green duct tape. I alcoholed the surface (and myself, lol) before appling. somebody asked me what if it came off later and I said buy another roll and spend 20 minutes of you time having fun.

I was a little proud of it - weird being proud o stupid, ron white will love it.

Took my headliner out with the intention to expanding foam all the cracks and put dynamat on the roof... It's a Canadian car so it's got the vinyl headliner
