  • 2 Killed in Festiva

Its no one i know but i saw this in the local news http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=212...cid=featured-4
Im not saying that you wouldn't die in a head on collision in any other car, but this is the one thing that worries me in my car, especially when i have my kids with me. Sad...

for sure sad, "we don't reccommend driving on a blown tire" yup, pretty much covers it. Looks like the festiva didn't have any rust either

It'll buff out. Just park it in the garage, I'm sure your dad won't notice man.

Oh and the reporter is an idiot. It's not a fiesta... They were traveling at highway speeds, that's a big crash.
Im not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!

Every small car owner's worst nightmare. A head-on at highway speeds. Unfortunately fuel economy is inversely proportional to vehicular safety so many of us remain willing to take the risk.

When you look at that horrific crash aftermath it signals to me that air bags would only have prolonged the misery of the occupants. But you can be sure some sort of progressive legislation will come out of it; mostly likely in the end run to restrict cars like ours to non-freeway use.

May those unfortunate people rest in peace.

Really sad. I wonder if the Festy ocupants were wearing seat belts. I looked at all the pics and couldn't see them. The driver probably would have died anyway tho.

Part of the reason my dad was mad I was the driving Festiva again versus the Focus. Granted if it's your time not much you can do.

Most likely Police or Fire Department would have cut them off in order to expedite removal of occupants. I wonder how many of these service providers get sick to their stomachs while they're rookies.
