I have a 89 Festiva Hatchback L. I bought it last friday and just now got activated as a member. I bought it for $500!!. The body is in pretty good shape considering age. It ran but didn't have enough power. I checked the compression and all cylinders were good except for one which was about 50-75. We ran some more tests and decided we will get to that later. I adjusted the valves back to standard specs, some were off quite a bit. I checked the timing, fuel pressure, and vacuum lines. The timing was off pretty good, i adjusted it along with the idle and it runs good. Lots of power now, but only when it gets warmed up. The carb was missing a choke plate, I went to the junk yard for a Festiva to find that and a couple things but it was fuel injected and picked down to the bone! I just got one off of a Isuzu Impulse and modified it to work. I really like Festiva's now, if I keep it(hopefully)I will make it into a tuner. I also have a 1991 Mitsubishi Montero 4x4.

Ground to fit?? good job! There are lots of home grown tricks buried in this site. Mere mortals like myself can find some of these and they are really interesting but if you run into
a challenging project just ask here, there are guys that have been there and done that and will gladly help, as will others that apparently have the whole site inventoried and can
pull how to's out of here like nothing!!

Thats a really nice job! Drop a little loctite or jb weld on the screws, both sides just to make sure they do not enter the engine !
If you go back to photobucket and select your pictures one at a time you can resize
them to 640 by 480. I know that is smaller than most cell phones take now days but
that size works well on this site. You will also notice a thing called IMG code. If you
left click that you will see a quick flag that says copied. Go back to your post here and where ever you right click and paste, the picture will show at the proper size.
That sure is clean, dang! You have a really cool little car there!Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig
