Just came back from my local JY/PnP. OMG!! Escorts, probes, even an 88 escort g?x. Most if not All of the engines are untouched! Split-port 200's(?) 1.9L, even got some tracers. I counted 15 escort gt/lx's all with pretty good looking engines. That's just the first 9 rows. I have another 8 rows to go. And the whole import row still to go.

What ford probe alternator is an upgrade for us?
Need parts let me know!
I'm pulling a BP for mysels as well as a b6!!

The SPIs (Split-port 2000 and 1.9L) are most likely there for the same reasons. Dropped valve seats and grenaded engines. An alt from the 2.2L probes (should be 88-92) would be a bolt on. Don't know about the later ones.

Sorry, I thought I read that the split-port injectors were an upgrade for the b3/b6....

I don't know if I've ever heard that, but when I had the 2000SPI in my wife's focus taken apart I think I remember them having a very different shape. Could be wrong though.

Be the first one to put that motor in a festiva!!! Actually I think that turbo is supposed to be an upgrade over stock for the B6T. But that would need to be confirmed by the turbo guys. Is that the 626 you were talking about? That Alt should fit on a festiva, might have to swap plugs though, but I don't think so. Its not common to see the 626 with the turbo motor, does it have the electronic suspension too? Should be an adjustment switch on the dash by the steering column.

Pull that turbo if you have the extra cash and it's in ok shape! htchbck is very correct, that is the VJ-11 which bolts up to the stock b6t manifold or the cold side can be mated with the VJ-14 (stock) hot side to make and excellent quick spooling turbo (because the vj-11 has a problem with cracking near the wastegate that the vj-14 doesn't have). Also if the seats are in good shape, they are really comphy and fit in an escort (I had them in one of my gt's) so they should fit a festy with a rail swap! There are sooo many lx's in the yards by me but I don't find many gt models.

I have been looking for a 87 GT rear bumper for ever to see if it would work. Had a 87 GT in the day and cannot for the life of me remember what it looked like, but it had to be cool.

Not to get technical here, but yeah, I'm gonna get technical... I said first to do it in a festiva :-P But yes, I did forget about the german guy, I talked to him a lot back when I had a line on a FE3. Too bad that never worked out though
