  • How to identify a FMS cam

    As stated, are their any markings on it that would differentiate it from a normal cam or do you just have to know how it looks.

    I could tell by looking at the lobes...but you have to know what you're looking at. Easiest way to tell would be to measure the base circle diameter and then the lobe height. That will give you the valve lift at the lobe. You need to use a micrometer or a set of calipers at minimum. The difference will be in the .0xx" range.

        I am not sure, but I think Kelford Cams of New Zealand supplied the cams.

        Anyone with a BP might be interested in Camtech Cams from Australia.

                absolutely not... B6T is DOCH, your B3 is SOHC. B6T is 16 valve head, your B3 is 8 valve head.
