I use my rear seat quite often, so it is staying right where it is. I have enough road noise just from have rust holes in my rear arches and rockers.

Hope to get that all patched up next spring.

So this sound proofing, it is just carpet padding from the hardware store? I am going to have to do that.

I use my rear seat for sex with the local prostitutes, I lay them ( the seats) down if she's really big. (the size of a washer) dont laugh, they charge way less money. :nightmare:

Just kidding, I got kids, they LOVE riding in the milk carton

My back seat won't be leaving the car. Most of the time, I just fold the seat forward twice and tuck it against the front seats if I need extra cargo room. I try not to use my car as a truck, and I'm working on a small trailer (still) to make that occur even less.

Frequently I have a 3rd person in the car, and I'm a teenage boy so I need to maintain the hope that someday I'll use the back seat (or fold it flat)
Oh, and I don't have a place to put it.

              Re: 2 seaters

The main reason i dont have my back seat in is because i can really tell when theres people in the back. Mainly due to my lack of strut. I never really have anyone in it anyway. and it just feels better when turning. its probably mental but it feels like it makes a difference..

Plus, that keeps the dead hookers from slamming into the back of your seat when you hit the brakes hard......or so I've heard.

Curiously, my KIA's rear seat doesn't fold backwards. There's a couple of substantial metal loops that it locks into to stop it.

Have you lot done something to yours to change them?

Yeah, you have to do a special fold where you go forward first and then slide it back. Watch neanderpaul's video. It will explain all.

Don't feel bad. I've shown about 120 Festiva owners the backseat tricks. Maybe 20 of them knew that they would do that. And some of these people had owned their Festivas for 20+ years.

I went 1 seater. I would've preferred 2 seats, but it was just way more practical to only have 1 seat. Had to have room for 200+ rolled newspapers ready to throw

Keep it 4 seats, because I like to cram the small family into the festiva whenever it's possible. Yesterday, folded the seat down double fold, and started hauling stuff to my new house. (We have til the first, but I am getting a jump on it).

Who needs a truck, when you have a hatchback?

Festiva: Big Craftsman tool box, bean bag toss game, jack and jack stands, big razor electric scooter, 6' folding plastic table, my OLD passenger side fender (decoration) MANY other things.

Surprisingly the other hatchback has even MORE room!
