I looked at it today. Its in semi-decent shape. It ran smoothly, and no check engine lights. New clutch (needs adjustment), and a slight grinding form one of the front brakes. The AC also needs a charge. The only thing that really concerned me is that the speedometer, and odometer didnt work, so I dont know how many miles it actually has.
Ill probably still do the $1300 for it.'97 Aspire

It was more of a rubbing sound, but not like wheel bearings. I dont know how to put it in to words. And it went away when the pedal was pressed.
Ill be honest, I didnt do much of a rust inspection. Im from Florida, so we dont have a rust problem.
It possible the speedo cable was disconnected. The car was used as a tow-behind for an RV at one point.
No pictures either.'97 Aspire

Yea its easy to disconnect the speedo, check it out and if you need a new speedo they're pretty easy to get and install. I might have one or two laying around still.
Just for the fact that it was a tow behind vehicle, and unknown miles, I wouldn't pay more than 8-900$ for it. It's an aspire, they stopped making them in 97, not even festivas are worth that much. In my opinion. But if I really liked the car who knows, definately talk them down as low as you can!!!2008 Kia Rio- new beater
1987 F-150- revived and CLEAN!!!
1987 Suzuki Dual Sport- fun beater bike
1993 Festiva- Fiona, DD
1997 Aspire- Peaspire, Refurb'd, sold
1997 Aspire- Babyspire, DD
1994 Aspire - Project Kiazord
1994 Aspire- Crustyspire, RIP

Re: Quick question about Aspires.
You could F2T it since it's OBD2.In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

In a two door Aspire the seats fold down, then forward - and you can use the lug wrench (14mm) to remove the two nuts and the two bolts that hold it all in place, and remove the seat all together, which leaves a LOT of cargo space. I removed the backseats in all three of my Aspires cause my (2) 16 year olds don't need to carry more than one friend around at a time, and neither do I . . .
