  • Some Up Coming Mods

Went to the local PAP and found the following for soon to do mods as soon as the weather cooperates:
919 Prelude seats, dark blue and match the 93 blue exterior nicely! Pair of Nissan Maxima power mirrors, I believe they were off a 91-94? They seemed to be a pretty close size to the Festy mirror mounts. Will require some modding to the sheet metal of the triangle where our mirrors go. Will leave them "manual" for the time being. My 93 L doesn't even have a right side mirror and those are like hen's teeth around this area. Couple of clock modules and looking to see which one will be a fit into the dash. Found one from the same 91 Prelude I got the the seats out of and looks to be pretty close. Will require some cutting of the dash mount where the stock clock would go. Can't find any 323 clocks.

What mirrors have others swapped out with the Festiva mirrors? Did Ford offer power mirrors on the Festiva? Anyone do a power mirror install? What did you really need in order to do the install? I looked at the switch for the Maxima, way too many wires and connections to be just a simple plug and play set up. Any links or write ups are always helpful

There were power mirrors for the Festiva. Two kinds I think. Protege mirrors work too.

Wires for power mirrors are in the doors and in the dash on most Festivas. All you need is a set of mirrors and a switch. Start a WTB (wanted to buy) thread for them. Escort mirrors are modifiable to fit also.

Correct... at least for my 90 Festiva L. You can find the sockets under the dash and just have to get creative maneuvering the wiring up through the doors and into the mirror locations.

The wires were already in the doors in my 93L.
I got the power mirrors off an 88 or 89 LX and a white face switch from an old Mazda.
