My last vehicle I was a huge penny pincher with. '83 AMC Eagle Wagon. Got 13-21mpg and had a much larger tank. Filling up usually just 8ish gallons now and getting 35+mpg I don't really care anymore!
Been retired since 2010 so I'm not pinching as much as I used to, but for 10 years prior to that I was driving over 80 miles every day to and from work. Luckily my average for the last 5 years was 46mpg in the Auqa. Since then with just driving around town, its dropping though.
