The carbed festiva were a little different. The 4-speed trannys were different as were the egr valves, I believe.The Festiva Store

just in early '88 models... mid and late '88MY festys are 50 state units (all the same)

I hadn't seen that, what do you bet that the California calibrations get poor fuel economy because of the retarded timing!?
You could set the California setting ahead by adjusting the timing up so that it equals fed spec. Then unplug the jumper for high altitude

that's for the FBC... the timing is set by the dizzy, it's weight springs and vaccum advance, the dizzy isn't PCM controlled like with the EFI cars. the calibration could only effect the fuel curve and EGR activation.Trees aren't kind to me...
