$2000 will go a LONG way on a Festiva!!

I bought mine, a quite good condition 93 GL 5-speed, dropped in a 75k mile B6, new inner and outer tie rods both sides, custom rack bushings, Powdercoated a dozen parts including the subframe, 2 new control arms, new plugs, wires, cap & rotor, timing belt, many odds and ends, brand new exhaust from the manifold back.... and I'm right near the $2k mark. For EVERYTHING.

      EPIC.
      Buck.

I love the idea, but I work on Sundays. Friday and Saturdays are good.

Another Missouri guy! I love it! Welcome and I'm sure you'll find plenty of good things to spend that money on! Wheels and tires are a good. The Aspire swap is always a plus. AC, protege center console, nicer seats from an LX or Aspire, hatch with defrost/wiper, cargo light, escort dome light, new bushing on anything with a bushing, sounds system, sunroof, spoiler, engine swap...you could literally do just about every nice upgrade you could ever do to a Festiva with 2k! As long as you are trying your best to get some of the stuff at a discount/used price. Some things like bushing and stuff you'll obviously want to buy new.

I know that Friday is bad for John, but Saturday should be possible. Let's make a tentative plan for 3PM on Sat, June 1.

I'll be on the opposite side of the state...in an alternate PnP universe! Seriously though. I'll be in Kansas City this weekend and probably in a junkyard.

ok that points to a fuel delivery issue. clean the VAF connector and use dielectric grease to seal it. you may want to do the same to the fuel sending unit plug.

Just checked the PnP in STL. They are showing 3 Festivas...one is probably a skeleton...been there since early March. But the other two were just added this week. Probably plenty of goodies left on them.

I have noticed that their listings are not super-reliable. Just so you know.

Hmmm...they always seem pretty on it at the KC ones. I would think ones that were listed this week would have just been added. I would understand if you showed up and the one listed as showing up on the yard in March was gone cause it was sent to the crusher.

Went there a month ago. They had a Protege listed as a 323, and a Festy listed as an Aspire.

Yes, since Festys and Aspires look exactly alike. :p

In their (slight) defense, the Protege was a 91, and the badging said "Protege 323", since that was the first year that the Protege name was introduced, here at least.
