I thought it was a good deal for the car, and the fun history just made it better

LKQ in Daytona Beach should have at least 1 Festiva.

Welcome to the group... I'd say you got a great deal on your Yellow Festi.
Lots of knowledgeable Festiva people here (many in Florida) and there is a ton of information in the posting history.
Hope you have lots of fun with it.

I almost got that car! I offered her $800 she wouldn't budge. Cool car either way. I'm in Orlando I've got a few pieces. Maybe some escort seats if your interested. There are 2 Festiva at lkq Daytona I haven't had time to check out so there's a good chance there's something there. I would go manual belt any way cause it's a lot less hassle. IMO

I had never heard of LKQ - is it worth the drive over what's available around here (A1 in Apopka)? Are the escort seats a bolt-on?

Except for the pre-90 Festiva seats I don't believe anything is straight bolt on. Escort, Aspire, and maybe a couple other Mazda seats can be swapped onto the Festiva seat bottoms and the tops swapped out. Most other seats will require some modifications.

Hey...I loved that show....sheeesh....lol. I loved how they kept changing the door on that car. Prelude seats are a great upgrade and they are as close to bolt in as you can get...oblong one hole and make a little add in piece out of flat bar stock.
