    hmm ive been looking at different engines in the festivas on here and i was wondering if anyone knows what engine mine has in itIMAG0278.jpg it looks pretty big compared to others

    Looks like a bone-stock 1.3L EFI..

    But that's just me.

      Looks like a stock B3 1.3L to me as well.

        That's a 1.3. If it was a 1.6 SOHC (1st Gen) it would look exactly the same so you'd have to check the block stamping. After those you can definitely tell if it's a swapped engine, all the other B's look quite different from the 1.3 and 1st Gen 1.6.

            How much HP does the 1.6 have? And what kind of mileage does it get?

              63hp 1.3L

              82hp 1.6L

              Driven sanely, the 1.6L still gets about the same. 40+ in a 5-speed.

                I can't squeeze a hair more than 36 out of my b6. I have a really hard time staying out of the gas petal tho and the tranny is on its way out because of it.

                Engine in pic is a stock 1.3, with the first gen 1.6 the stock intake tract doesn't exactly bolt up, the volt holes in the valve cover are off, so you would see some kind of riggery or no bolts or resonator chamber thing at all...also all the gen1 1.6 engines I've seen say 1.6 on the intake, but I guess that could be removed.
