I'm looking at my 93L with auto belts and compared to the pics the visors look exactly the same, what's different?

The rods have an extra bend in cars with the strangler belts. The 88-89 visors only have one bend like in the pix. When these are installed on a late model, the visor will not go in a full up position against the headliner, but sticks downward about 2-3 inches from the headliner, at least that was how it was in my 92. That extra bend is necessary to get the clearance away from the thicker trim. When I got my 89, it had the late model visor on the RH. That will work OK, but the difference was pretty obvious when looking at the 2 in the same car.Originally posted by Stinsin63 View PostI'm looking at my 93L with auto belts and compared to the pics the visors look exactly the same, what's different?Last edited by jawja jim; 07-03-2016, 08:51 PM."Blue92"- 92L 5 spd, original owner- 185K, B8,DD..

Yes those fit the aluminum housing steering rack. I orderder 5 of them back in 2013 but I don't have any more left.Originally posted by F3BZ View Post
I actually ground one down on the outside and used it in one of the steel housing racks. the inside diameter is the same.

good pick up jawja jim. i pulled a 93 visor and sure enough i see the extra bend that kicks the visor out more. seems there is always something to ad to the festiva trivia quiz. i think the US was the only market to get the cursed motor belts. glad i missed posting the part#s so now i will but with the mention that these are for PASSIVE BELTS only or belt convertions INCLUDING trim.

The visor flaps will come off and swap over pretty easily. I forget the position but I think it is about full extension and the flap will pull off and can be easily put on the US late model rods.Originally posted by F3BZ View Postgood pick up jawja jim. i pulled a 93 visor and sure enough i see the extra bend that kicks the visor out more. seems there is always something to ad to the festiva trivia quiz. i think the US was the only market to get the cursed motor belts. glad i missed posting the part#s so now i will but with the mention that these are for PASSIVE BELTS only or belt convertions INCLUDING trim.

Has anyone ordered on of the Pride shifter boots from FourGreen?
http://www.fourgreen.com/store/scrip...p-KKY026433109
And does it come with the retainer piece? Or can it be ordered separately?
Now that I'm converting Rosie to a 5 speed I will need the boot to put in my automatic console.
Looks like it is sold separately and this is the part number:

I believe Kia does not have stock on that part.
That Ford part is out of stock everywhere.
I bought mine used from Australia.Last edited by bravekozak; 07-09-2016, 04:57 AM.

that's a great tip. i tried it. just kept pulling on the mounting arm as i rotated it. takes a pretty good tug. the mazda based gtx is a little easier and obvious with the set screw.Originally posted by jawja jim View PostThe visor flaps will come off and swap over pretty easily. Thanks F3BZ, The entire console shipped to me via Korea post would be $50.63, which isn't too bad.Originally posted by F3BZ View Postyou might just be able to order the whole console assembly. i had a new 4G one for sale. i'll dig for it if you want. not sure where it's stored.
I'll probably just order one and add a few other misc small parts at the same time.
